  • El Grupo VIDA is a network of Hispanic/Latino parents formed to provide mutual support for people with disabilities or special needs, their parents, family, and guardians. Find out more HERE

  • Previously called a Community Center Board. Connecting to a CMA can offer funding for items or services that Insurance does not cover. It can also provide ongoing service coordination, and respite funding. Find your county’s CMA HERE

  • Early Intervention Colorado offers early evaluation of delays in children under 3 years old. If eligible, your child can receive in home therapies at no cost to you. Find out more HERE

  • Your child could be eligible for supplemental income payments. This is a way to supplement the income you have likely lost due to caring for your child’s special needs. There is income criteria and your child may need a medical evaluation as proof of the disability. Find out more HERE

  • Children with disabilities may qualify for a Medicaid waiver. This can help them access the supports they need. There is financial and functional criteria for each waiver. Find out more HERE

  • The Pediatric Personal Care Benefit is a Medicaid benefit for children who need assistance with personal care tasks such as hygiene, toileting, bathing, etc. Most children with Autism or a Developmental Disability can qualify for this benefit. If the child meets criteria, the family will identify one or more caregivers that can become a Pediatric Personal Care Provider. They will be paid through a private agency who is reimbursed through Medicaid. Find out more HERE

  • The Medicaid Buy In Program is for children and adults with disabilities who are over income for traditional Medicaid. The child will need to be functionally approved. The family would be assigned a monthly premium based on their Income. Find out more HERE

  • The Parents as their child’s CNA program offers parents the ability to become a CNA, all expenses paid, and be paid an hourly rate for skillable needs. The child will need to qualify functionally. Often children with a Neurological diagnosis, such as Autism, alone will not qualify for this benefit. However, if there are skillable needs that require a CNA level of care, this benefit could be an option for you. Find out more HERE
